Two educators were attacked on Tuesday afternoon during a punitive expedition at a school in Waterloo, the Walloon Brabant Public Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday.

An 18-year-old man had been assaulted on Monday in the underground near the Waterloo train station by a group of youths, who snatched his headphones and stole his scarf.

The alleged assailants broke into the Sacred Heart High School premises on Tuesday afternoon, with the intention of beating up the student they had targeted the day before.

The suspects then assaulted the two educators before leaving the premises. They were recognised by the victim.

The Walloon Brabant Public Prosecutor’s Office said it was taking the case very seriously.
