An armed robbery took place on Tuesday evening at an Intermarché store in Tubize, Walloon Brabant, Belga News Agency reports.
According to the Walloon Brabant prosecutor's office, two hooded individuals entered the supermarket — located on the city's Rue Raymond Piéret — around 19:00. One of the robbers was carrying an iron bar, while the other was holding a knife.
The robbers immediately went to the store's cashier. After putting a knife to the latter's throat and striking his head, the thieves were able to grab money from the cash register and quickly left.
According to the city's authorities, it is not yet known how much money was stolen. The identities of the robbers are also currently unknown.
