After joining the women's rowing team at Lincoln College, Oxford University, Belgium's Princess Elizabeth has won the Torpids race – an annual competition between the different colleges that features over 1,000 participants in total.

Elizabeth's team, part of the Boat Club, one of the largest sports communities at Oxford, is now one of the best women’s rowing teams in a university where rowing prowess is taken very seriously.

The race was a competition between various colleges at the university. Known as “bumps”, each team leaves one after another. To win, teams must catch up with the boat in front of them and bump them. This year, no team managed to catch up with the Lincoln College team.

Both at university and elsewhere, Princess Elizabeth has excelled in sports. In December 2022, she participated, alongside her brother, Prince Emmanuel, in the “Warmathon” charity running race in Brussels.
