Train traffic will remain “heavily disrupted” on Thursday in France due to a strike against pension reform.

One TGV Inoui (premium service) and one Ouigo (low-cost train) in three are expected to run, as well as two regional express trains (TERs) in five on average, according to the regions.

Train traffic will also remain chaotic on Friday.

The Thalys service will be affected on both Thursday and Friday, the day of the public sector strike in Belgium.

On its website, the high-speed train company linking Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne announced numerous train cancellations due to the actions on Thursday and Friday. Only two out of three trains are expected to run. Thalys even expects disruptions through to Sunday.

The impact is less significant at Eurostar, where about four trains are cancelled on Thursday between Brussels and London.
