A wall collapsed at Sint-Vincentschool, a primary school in Antwerp, leaving a child in critical condition on Tuesday afternoon.
The circumstances of the event are being investigated and the child is receiving care, said police spokesperson Willem Migom.
After the wall collapsed, the child was taken to the hospital by emergency services. Many children saw a small wall that was under construction on the school's playground collapse onto the child, according to a parent.
No further information is known at this time.
