Antwerp police discovered an explosive device at a home on Biekorfstraat early on Saturday morning. The discovery was made during the search of the home of an 18-year-old drug dealer.
The army’s explosive ordnance disposal and destruction service were called to the property to help dispose of the device. The bomb was taken away and neutralised in a safe location.
The young suspect has been arrested and will be brought before an investigating judge on drug charges.
