Sixty Delhaize shops out of the 128 spread out in Belgium are closed this Saturday morning.
Most of the closed shops are located in Brussels and Wallonia. However, at the start of the Easter weekend, there are no blockages in the distribution centre, Delhaize's spokeswoman said.
The company had announced on Friday that it would do “everything possible” to ensure that its shops and distribution centre would be open this Easter weekend, a traditionally important time for the supermarket chain.
