Railway traffic has been at a standstill between Philippeville and Walcourt in the Walloon province of Namur, since 6:30 on Saturday morning.

According to the railway infrastructure manager, Infrabel, a signalling fault was found on line 132.

Repair work is underway.

Infrabel hopes to “solve the problem as soon as possible” to allow traffic to resume quickly.

In the meantime, the SNCB has set up a bus service to allow passengers to make the connection between Philippeville and Walcourt.
