Following the success of previous years, Belgian rail company SNCB is again launching Duo Tickets and the popular Youth Holiday tickets to boost train travel during the summer months.

The Duo Ticket, which allows two travellers to take the train for the price of just one person, was a huge success when it was first introduced at the end of 2021 and has since regularly been brought back.

"The product was already very popular last summer and is ideal for leisure travellers," SNCB said in a press release. This year, the offer will be valid from Saturday 1 July to Sunday 3 September.

The Youth Holidays tickets, which allow young people (under the age of 26) to travel unlimited for a whole week (€19) or a month (€31) for a fixed price, will also be offered again during the same period. Both tickets can be purchased via the website, the vending machines, the app or the counter.

For people over 26 years old, SNCB is launching Off-Peak Unlimited tickets. With such a ticket, travellers can make unlimited use of the train for a whole month (for €59 per month), to any domestic destination. On weekdays, the Off-Peak Unlimited applies from 09:00. The ticket can be bought through the app.

Traditionally, people commute during the summer months, so fewer peak-hour trains will be running and the offer to popular tourist destinations (event or animal parks, the coast, the Ardennes...) will be expanded.
