An unnamed man has surrendered himself to the authorities and admitted to stabbing Dieudonné Bula “at least once” in the Matonge district of Brussels on 26 May.

The suspect was arrested and charged with murder and will appear before the Brussels Chamber of Council on Wednesday.

“However, the investigation is ongoing,” said the prosecutor, as the attack is suspected to be gang-related and other gang members could have been involved.

Bula, nicknamed “Dido”, was 32-years-old when he was stabbed in an attack on the corner of Rue d'Edimbourg and the Chaussée de Wavre. He later died from his injuries in hospital. Bula was, reportedly, a member of city gang Mafia Africaine (MAF).
