The annual Kriekenfeest will be held in Josaphat Park this weekend.

The Schaerbeek cherry festival has been extended to two days for the first time and will take place on the 29th and 30th of June.

There will be fruit stands, apple-cherry juice, and food trucks featuring cherry cake.

The annual cherry pit spitting competition will be held on Sunday at 15:30 at De Melkerij tavern, which is in the middle of Josaphat Park. The record for the competition is 15 metres, according to Bruzz.

The festival will also have a bouncy castle, a face-painting stand, and a cover band, which will perform on Saturday evening.
