A 33-year-old man was stabbed in the centre of Antwerp on Saturday.
Although he was taken to hospital in a critical condition, he is expected to survive.
The Prosecutor’s office is handling the case as an attempted murder.
The circumstances behind the attack have not yet been determined. A spokesman for the Antwerp police said “the witness has not been well enough to speak to us yet.”
