An explosion damaged two buildings in Antwerp on Tuesday in the Sint-Andries district, local police said. No injuries were reported.
At around 05:30, on Bogaardestraat, the sound of an explosion was reported to police.
The type of explosive used by the suspects is as of yet unknown. Belgium’s bomb squad, the Explosive Ordnance Removal and Destruction Service (SEDEE) were called to the scene to make their initial findings.
The police have now launched an investigation to find out whether the case is linked to the drugs trade.
