The bad weather has led to the closure of the Rogier tunnel in Brussels in the direction of the Koekelberg Basilica, Brussels Mobilité reported on Thursday morning.

The tunnel has been closed in one direction since 4:300 due to flooding on the carriageway, with the south of the country mainly affected by the bad weather this Thursday.

The services of Bruxelles Mobilité are on site to determine the problem and resolve it as quickly as possible.

"The cleaning of the drains is underway," said the Brussels agency in charge of regional roads shortly before 11:00 am.

As a result of the heavy rain, the Porte de Hal tunnel was also temporarily closed early on Thursday morning.
