Brussels' Fire Brigade won a total of 48 medals at the "World Police & Fire Games".

The 10-day event, which ended on Sunday, took place this year in Winnipeg, Canada.

Skills not only in firefighting were tested, but also in conventional sports such as judo, karate, cycling, cross-country, and triathlon.

The fire brigade's spokesperson Walter Derieuw was particularly proud of the team's performance in the "Ultimate Firefighter competition" and the "Stairrace", according to DHnet.
