The Carrefour chain, in consultation with the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain, AFSCA, invited its customers on Thursday to return its 150-gramme packets of turkey fillets, due to a labelling error.

The labels of these products, sold in the delicatessen section of certain Carrefour Belgium stores and bearing the name 'Ham on the bone' do not display the allergen 'milk.'

The incriminated products bear the EAN code 5400101183247 and are to be consumed before 4 September 2023. These were sold up to 10 August 2023.

People allergic to milk are invited to return the packets to the point of sale where they were purchased. If the product has already been consumed, Carrefour invites its customers to consult a doctor. The product poses no danger to non-allergic customers, according to the chain.

For further information, Carrefour Belgium's Consumer Service can be contacted on the freephone number 0800/910.11, from 08:30 to 20:00 Monday to Saturday.
