Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police seized 2.6 kilos of narcotics last Thursday during a search at a home on Avenue Général Dossin de Saint-Georges in Ixelles.
One suspect has been placed under arrest by the magistrate appointed to head the investigation.
Inspectors from the zone who were on patrol as part of the fight against the sale of narcotics checked two individuals acting suspiciously on Avenue Général Dossin de Saint-Georges on Thursday.
One of the suspects said he had bought cannabis herb, while the second was in possession of 43.5 grammes of cannabis herb and 52 grammes of cannabis resin.
A search was carried out at the latter’s home. Police seized 1,552 grammes of cannabis herb and 1,075 grammes of cannabis resin, as well as €5,370 and packaging materials. Pepper spray, a hunting knife, an alarm pistol and two airsoft weapons were also seized.
