Singapore Airlines (SIA) will start a direct service between Singapore and Belgium next year, the airline announced on Tuesday. Tickets will start to be released on sale from Wednesday.

Qatar and Emirates fly from Brussels Airport to the island country in Southeast Asia, but there are currently no non-stop flights between the two destinations.  However, from 5 April 2024 Singapore Airlines (SIA) will launch non-stop flights between Belgium's largest airport and Singapore.

"Brussels is an important European economic and political centre and the launch of this service adds another historical and charming city to SIA’s list of destinations," Dai Hao Yu, Acting Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning for SIA said.

The Singapore Airlines network will provide Belgians (and those from elsewhere in Europe) an additional point to connect to Singapore, as well as the wider Asia-Pacific region via the hub at Changi Airport.

Four weekly flights

SIA will operate four weekly flights to Brussels with the long-haul variant of its Airbus A350-900s, which features 253 seats in three cabin classes: 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class, and 187 in Economy Class.

From 5 April 2024, a 12-hour flight will depart from Singapore to Brussels at 23:55 local time on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The flight in the opposite direction will depart Brussels for Singapore on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Tickets for SIA’s Brussels flights will be made available for sale progressively through the various distribution channels from 13 September 2023.
