A couple and their three-year-old daughter were killed in a serious road accident that occurred in the Hainaut village of Rance on Saturday evening.
A fourth child survived the crash but was seriously injured, Jean-François Gatelier, the mayor of the municipality of Sivry-Rance, reported on Facebook.
The circumstances of the accident are still unknown, but according to the mayor, only one vehicle was involved.
According to RTL Info, the car went off the road, collided with a pole and landed on its roof in a roadside ditch.
The three victims were ejected from the car; the fourth occupant had to be freed from the wreckage by the fire brigade.
“The parents, Geraldine and Michael, and their three-year-old daughter Lily-Rose were killed. My thoughts are with the sole survivor Mya, 6, who was seriously injured,” Gatelier said on Facebook.
