An airline lounge in Belgium, run by Brussels Airlines and Lexus, has for the fifth year in a row been voted the best in Europe.

The lounge, named THE LOFT, is located in the A-pier at Brussels Airport in Zaventem. It was awarded "Europe’s Leading Airline Lounge" at the World Travel Awards. The lounge was renovated and expanded in 2018, in collaboration with Lexus. The lounge has been crowned Europe’s Leading Airlines Lounge at the World Travel Awards ever since.

"Winning this prestigious award for the fifth consecutive time, while we had to compete against lounges of globally known airlines, is a real honour," Olivier Brynaert, Head of Customer Experience at Brussels Airlines, said.

The lounge is the biggest of all Brussels Airlines' lounges and is accessible for passengers travelling in Business Class and status holders of the Miles and More loyalty programme. Also, passengers travelling in economy class can enjoy the lounge for a fee during off-peak periods.

There is a clear focus on "Belgitude," or showcasing Belgian products, at THE LOFT, where customers are offered a range of Belgian beers, Rombauts coffee, and Neuhaus chocolates.

The World Travel Awards were founded in 1993 and is the most prestigious and elaborate awards listing in the industry. This year, over 2 million votes were cast.
