Two men, aged 24 and 27 respectively, have been critically injured following a fight that took place during the night of Saturday to Sunday on Leuven's Grand Place, according to the public prosecutor's office, confirming a report by HLN.
The incident occurred between 4:00 and 5:00 am on Sunday. One suspect has so far been arrested.
Video surveillance images are currently being analysed to try to identify other people involved in the incident. The motive for the fight has not yet been established.
A security perimeter has been set up to allow the laboratory to make its findings.
