80,000 AXA Bank clients are currently unable to use their debit card because they have accidentally been deactivated.

10% of all clients at AXA cannot use their cards to pay in stores or online at the moment. An error has been made, as all cards that will expire in December 2019 have been deactivated already, reports VTM NIEUWS.

The bank is trying to solve the problem as soon as possible, and emphasized that there are no security problems. The problems only concern the clients' cards, not their bank accounts.

Anyone affected by AXA's error can still use another card or make payments using the mobile banking app, or Payconiq.
