A 19-year-old man from Molenbeek-Saint-Jean was viciously attacked by a group of youths on 1 November, leaving him critically injured and hospitalised, as reported by RTL and confirmed by the Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The assault occurred near the Beekkant metro station at around 9:05 in the evening when authorities from the Brussels West police zone received an emergency call. The report came in about an injured person on Boulevard Edmond Machtens, near the Beekkant Metro stop.

The police found the emergency services already attending to the victim on the scene, waiting for medical assistance. The young man was found struggling to breathe with multiple head injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Investigations are currently ongoing to understand the exact circumstances surrounding the attack, according to the public prosecutor. However, no further comments will be provided on the case due to its ongoing nature.
