Lotte Kopecky celebrated her 28th birthday on Friday with two national titles at the Belgian Cycling Championships in Heusden-Zolder.

Kopecky first triumphed in the scratch race, surpassing Katrijn De Clercq and Lani Wittevrongel before comfortably winning the points race with a lead of nearly 60 points over Wittevrongel.

In the men's events, the points race and American-style race titles were claimed by Lindsay De Vylder. Partnered with Robbe Ghys for the American race, the duo successfully outperformed Noah Vandenbranden and Gianluce Pollefliet. In the points race, De Vylder edged out Ghys and Fabio Van Den Bossche.

The female and male omniums are set to take place on Saturday in Heusden-Zolder.

The Belgian Championships act as a warm-up for the Six Days of Ghent track cycling race, scheduled from 14 to 19 November. Reigning champions De Vylder and Ghys, and Kopecky in the women's event, will be participating.
