Brussels school evacuated on Monday after bomb threat

Matteo Ricci Jesuit College in Anderlecht, Brussels was evacuated on Monday morning following a bomb threat, a spokesperson for the Brussels-Midi police zone has confirmed.

The college received an email indicating a potential bomb threat, prompting the management to contact the police.

Police officers were dispatched to the premises on Boulevard Poincaré and carried out an evacuation.

“Police, assisted by dogs, performed a search for any potential explosives, but this proved negative,” the spokesperson informed.

The evacuation has now concluded. “The students were able to return to classes,” the police stated.
