Starting this weekend, the number of direct night trains between Brussels and Vienna will be increased and a second night train connection to Berlin will also be added to ÖBB's Nightjet offer, the company announced on Wednesday.

From Sunday 10 December, Nightjet sleeper trains to Vienna and Berlin will run three times a week from Brussels and Liège – departing on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings. Returning to Belgium is possible on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.

Since May 2023, getting to Berlin by night train was already possible with the European Sleeper, but there will also be an ÖBB Nightjet train running to the German capital from this month, the company announced. In the first phase, trains will run three times per week, but the frequency will be increased to daily in the autumn of 2024.
