A primary school in Balen, Antwerp Province, will remain closed on Thursday due to anonymous threats.
The decision was made in light of a video circulating on social media, prompting the school authorities to adopt a zero-risk approach.
The threats came on the heels of recent online harassment incidents targeted towards a specific class in the school.
“The circumstances dictate that we advise against attending the school. There are no provisions for reception,” the school authorities said.
The local community has been cautioned against approaching the premises as a precautionary measure. An investigation into the matter is underway.
