Farmer protests: Tractors block traffic on E42 and E411 near Namur

Several tractor convoys caused significant disruption on Sunday on the E42 near Namur and on the E411 at the nearby Daussoulx interchange. Various sections of the motorways were closed to traffic.

Where farmers gathered to protest about a variety of issues, including the administrative burdens they claim are piling up due to climate regulations.

Dozens of tractors currently stand stationary on the A4-E411 towards Brussels at kilometre marker 50.2, just before the Daussoulx interchange.

Traffic is at a standstill according to the federal police’s Inforoute website. The E411 motorway is closed at exit 12, Eghezée.

Another convoy of stationary tractors at the Daussoulx interchange has led to the closure of the carriageway towards the A15 heading to Liège and towards the A4-E411 leading to Brussels and Luxembourg.

The A15-E42 motorway is closed at exit 12, Namur-West.

Police are also reporting a convoy of tractors travelling slowly on the A15-E42 towards Mons at the Daussoulx interchange.

Other road users are asked to exit the A15-E42 at either exit 8, Héron, or exit 9, Andenne. Exit 10 Héron is blocked, and the motorway is closed at exit 10A, Fernelmont.
