The Belgian Red Cross has announced the organisation is in urgent need of new ambulance personnel.

The organisation is looking for both paid and volunteer colleagues. Around 200 employees and 800 volunteers ensure the urgent 112 ambulance services run smoothly across the country.

“The Red Cross has a certified fleet of ambulances to carry out urgent medical first aid care and transport. While its ambulance drivers, whether salaried or volunteers, have all been trained to provide professional, but also humane and dignified care, the patient’s best interests guide their mission,” the organisation states.

Over 50,000 emergency ambulance transports are operated by the Red Cross every year.
