A residence and several cars parked on Tweemontstraat, Antwerp, near the Sportpaleis, were damaged in an attack on Monday night, with local police investigating possible drug-related connections.

The incident occurred around 23:30 on Monday night, when residents reported hearing an explosion and called the police. Upon arrival, police observed damage to a property and vehicles parked nearby, although there were no reported injuries.

Alongside the police, the SEDEE, a bomb disposal unit, and a forensic lab team also attended the scene.

Later that night, two vans were set alight and other vehicles were damaged at Straatsburgdok, north of the Eilandje district in Antwerp. Initial findings point to a case of arson, however it is currently undetermined whether this is linked to the earlier attack on Tweemontstraat.
