A 17-year-old boy was critically injured in Antwerp on Wednesday night after being hit by a car.
The incident occurred in the Wilrijk district of Antwerp, under circumstances that remain to be unravelled.
The driver subsequently fled the scene, according to local police.
An investigation is presently underway, with the offending driver still at large.
