Belgian restaurant chain EXKi has announced the appointment of Stan Monheim as its new CEO, succeeding its co-founder Frédéric Rouvez.

EXKi, established in 1999 with the aim of providing healthy and sustainable food, currently boasts 77 outlets across six European countries. The majority of these establishments are located in Belgium (38 restaurants) and France (32 restaurants), operating as a mixture of company-owned and franchise locations.

"Now that the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic are behind us, EXKi is ready to cater to the busy city dwellers and conscious travellers across Europe," stated outgoing CEO Frédéric Rouvez. He believes that Monheim, with his extensive international experience, is the perfect fit to carry EXKi forward. Rouvez will remain a co-shareholder and board member.

Newly appointed Monheim, who brings with him 25 years of experience in the on-the-go food sector, said, "the European market needs players like EXKi, who remain steadfast in their convictions and uncompromising on quality."

Monheim began his career with the then Carestel in 2001 and has since 2006 worked for Autogrill (now Avolta), where he has overseen its European operations for the past seven years.
