Boulevard Louis Schmidt towards Montgomery has been blocked off since 08:00 on Tuesday morning due to a driver protest in front of Uber's headquarters.

The protesting Uber drivers are demanding better working conditions as well as a resolution to the issues they face while working with the multinational.

They have accused the platform of stopping drivers from working if they receive negative reviews, while also not communicating to them the price and destination of their planned routes.

70 vehicles were on-site at around 09:30, and a total of 150 drivers is expected by the end of the protest.
