Lufthansa has suspended its flights to and from Tel Aviv until Tuesday, 6 May, Brussels Airlines announced in a statement on Sunday.
Brussels Airlines, part of the German aviation group, has cancelled two flights to Israel’s main airport as a result.
Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv was targeted by a missile on Sunday, claimed by the Yemeni rebel group, the Houthis. Brussels Airlines stated, “Due to the current situation, Lufthansa Group has decided to suspend its flights to and from Tel Aviv until 6 May.”
The Belgian airline cancelled two flights: one scheduled for Sunday morning and another for Monday. Passengers will be offered options for rebooking or refunds.
Brussels Airlines had resumed periodic flights to Tel Aviv on 1 February after halting them for several months due to escalating Middle Eastern tensions.
