Three men have been held in Brussels following a violent machete attack at a hair salon on Antoine Dansaert Street, the Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office stated on Monday.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when the three suspects, armed with a machete, allegedly entered the salon and attacked two customers.
Both victims were injured and were transported to the hospital. Their injuries are not life-threatening.
The attackers fled the scene but were subsequently found and questioned by the authorities.
The Prosecutor’s Office has called in the Federal Judicial Police Laboratory to conduct an investigation.
Two of the suspects have been charged with attempted murder and possession of a prohibited weapon.
They have both been placed under arrest warrants.
