Planning on becoming a parent? Ready for a new arrival? A new website contains all the information needed to raise a family in Brussels.

A newborn thrusts first-time parents into a confusing world of administrative and medical procedures and it can sometimes be difficult to know where to start. Thankfully for parents in the capital, authorities recently launched they "Born in Brussels" website.

First presented in 2014, the site is now online and aims to compile all the relevant information related to early childhood in the Brussels region.

This valuable tool is offered in French and Dutch and brings together many themes relating to health, well-being, rights and procedures, or support for parenthood.

In particular, the website lists centres or associations that can provide parents with psychological help, administrative support, or food and material aid.

There is also information on the diet required during pregnancy, postures that can relieve mothers, and sexuality and STIs during pregnancy.

The site is aimed at all Brussels residents, though especially those in situations of poverty or vulnerability. For more information, consult the Born in Brussels website.
