The unique dining experience "Dinner in the sky" will return to Brussels, this time setting the table for foodies 50 metres above the Waterloo battlefield.
This year will see the 12th edition of the exclusive pop-up event which provides a chance to enjoy a gastronomic dinner with an aerial view of several landmark locations in Brussels.
From Thursday 1 June until the end of the month, a total of 3,000 guests will be hosted at a table perched 50 metres above the Lion’s Mound, highlighting the history of the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon and the Duke of Wellington.
Aside from a four-course menu (two starters, a main course, and a dessert), diners will be served entertainment by soldiers in full regalia, campfires, cannon, drums, and a video mapping animation on the facade of the panorama.
The team behind the concept highlight the additional elements that this year's experience brings: "This edition has a larger, more open central kitchen so that the chefs can be in direct contact with all guests. Eight tables for four people set around the open kitchen makes it possible to seat 32 guests in greater privacy."

The meal itself will be orchestrated, cooked, and served daily by the gastronomic chef of the day – the list includes Belgium's finest chefs (several with Michelin-starred restaurants) – at lunchtime, 19:00, and 20:30. A cocktail version is also scheduled for the afternoon at weekends.
This transcendent experience also comes with sky-high prices, starting from €150 per person for the cocktail session to well over €300 for an evening dinner. Reservations can already be made on the event's website.

The concept has had growing success since its creation in 2010, resulting in four additional dates being added to the calendar, and has already seen dinner guests hover over the Mont des Arts, Parc du Cinquantenaire, and the Koekelberg Basilica, among other locations.
