Traffic on the Brussels ring road has been impacted after a multiple vehicle crash involving at least ten cars took place on Tuesday.
At around 8:30, vehicles leaving Brussels and heading south on the road remained blocked for at least 1 hour, according to RTL.
Only one of three lanes is open to circulation, with the left lane of the road completely blocked and the middle lane obstructed.
The accident took place on the segment between Hal and Wathier-Braine, to the south of Brussels, in circumstances that remain unclear.
While the situation is expected to evolve rapidly, reports say that drivers can expect at between 5 and 7 kilometres of traffic jams.
