A shooting in Anderlecht on Thursday night injured one individual. Police say the circumstances of the incident remain unclear.
"Just before 04:00, a witness saw an altercation between two young individuals near Saint-Guidon metro station," police spokesperson Sarah Frederickx told Belga News Agency. "Gunshots were fired shortly afterwards."
One of the individuals sustained a leg injury and has since been hospitalised.
Police have set up a security perimeter and have launched an investigation into the incident. They have not yet identified any suspects.
