Carrefour opens pop-up store in Brussels selling second-hand goods

Carrefour is opening a second-hand market pop-up store in Ixelles in Brussels.

Unveiled in November 2023, the concept "Carrefour Reeborn" is both an online platform and a physical shop for selling and buying pre-owned items. It allows individuals to offload goods, while other Carrefour shops can do the same with their surplus non-food stock.

“Users can earn money from their unused items whilst collecting Carrefour Bonus points. These points can then be used for purchases in any Carrefour store of their choice,” the company explained.

Should a customer wish to buy any of the items showcased in the pop-up store, this can be done via an available digital terminal. The seller who brought the item then instantly receives the payment.

The pop-up store will be operational from 18 April until 15 September.
