The Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend returns to the capital this Friday, featuring an array of Belgian artists. Taking place over three days, the organisers promise an exciting display of live jazz music in the heart of Brussels.
The event dedicated to contemporary jazz is now in its seventh edition and completely free of charge, aiming to share the magic of live music in the heart of the city. This year's festival will once again be held in three iconic squares across the capital, as well as over 25 local bars and various surrounding streets.
The festival's local cultural partners include Flagey, Bozar, Botanique, Ancienne Belgique and VK. According to Gert Claes, one of the organisers, this collaboration reinforces their connection to the Brussels music scene and represents the city's vibrant diversity.
Among the artists featured in the Grand Place, a site dedicated to contemporary jazz, are Vitja Pauwels, Lara Rosseel ARK, Manuel Hermia, Orchestra Nazionale della Luna, JohnGhost and Camille-Alban Spreng's ODIL + Nina Kortekaas.

The New Talents stage nestled in Sainte-Catherine Square is the product of a partnership with the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels and Brussels Jazz Alert. Emerging Belgian jazz stars performing there include Lucia Pires, Kin Gajo, Sébastiaen Hugue, Adriana Calvo, ASKIP, This is the Omen and Octet Nocturne among others.
Meanwhile, Bourse will stage artists that go beyond the traditional boundaries of jazz by infusing elements of funk and electro. Dushime, Jean-Paul Groove, Kuna Maze, Bombataz, The Helliocentrics, Jazmyn, Saudade Experiment and Nnavy are among those set to perform.
