This weekend (5 and 6 October), metro traffic in Brussels will be interrupted on line 6 between the Bockstael and Koning Boudewijn/Roi Baudouin stations due to works, announced public transport operator STIB.
STIB will be replacing a switch between the Heizel/Heysel and Houba-Brugmann stations on metro line 6 as part of the regular maintenance of its network. On that section of the line, the company will also replace 320 railway sleepers.
"Throughout the weekend, shuttle buses will run between Bockstael and Heizel/Heysel via Koning Boudewijn/Roi Baudouin to transport passengers on this route," the operator said. The stops served on this route can be found on STIB's website.
Passengers can also take tram 9 between Simonis and Koning Boudewijn/King Baudouin, tram 62 between Bockstael and Heizel/Heysel via Stuyvenbergh, tram 93 between Bockstael and Stadion and bus 83 between Koning Boudewijn/King Baudouin and Heizel/Heysel.
STIB advises planning journeys in advance via its website and app.
