One person was shot and injured during a fight that broke out on Thursday night in Anderlecht.
"Late last night, at around 03:00, our services were called to the area around Rue des Vétérinaires for a victim shot in the chest during a fight," police spokesperson Sarah Frederickx told Belga News Agency on Friday, confirming the news first reported by La Capitale.
The suspects allegedly stole personal belongings from the injured individual. The victim has been hospitalised but is not in life-threatening condition.
"No suspects have been apprehended at this time. The investigation is ongoing," said Frederickx.
There have been 74 shootings in Brussels since the beginning of the year. There were 62 shootings in 2023.
