In the investigation into the deadly shooting that took place Sunday evening near the Aumale metro station in Anderlecht, police are looking for camera footage of the perpetrator(s) taken before, during or after the events.

This is according to an investigation notice distributed by the federal police. Investigators are also looking for witnesses who knew the man who was killed.

The shooting took place on Sunday evening at 20:48 in the Rue de Douvres in Anderlecht. Unknown persons opened fire with what was thought to be a Kalashnikov.

When police arrived at the scene they found two victims wounded by bullets. One was in critical condition and was being resuscitated by bystanders when police arrived. Despite the rapid intervention of the emergency services, the 28-year-old died from his injuries at the scene.

Detectives are also looking for people who might have information regarding the deceased victim. The man is said to have no fixed address and may have visited several homeless shelters. On the evening of the events, he was wearing a red vest, dark trousers and light baskets.
