The Brussels Fire Brigade had to free a man in his twenties from the underground collection bin of a glass container on Monday afternoon. The man only suffered a few scratches from the incident.
The fire brigade and the medical services were called to an "unusual intervention" in the Chaussée de Wemmel in the Brussels municipality of Jette, said spokesperson Walter Derieuw.
"The twenty-something was looking for his father's keys, which had accidentally fallen into the container," Derieuw said. "The crew of our first ambulance on the scene used the Halligan Tool to free the unfortunate man from his predicament."
He only suffered a few scratches and hospitalisation was not necessary, he stressed.
