One person was left seriously injured on Sunday night in Schaerbeek, according to Brussels-North police.
“A patrol came to the scene at around 4:45 am on Quatrecht Street to assist a person injured by blows to the leg,” police spokesperson, Katlien Breugelmans, said.
The victim, whose life was in danger, was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the incident and to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators.
