A serious accident involving a truck and several cars happened on Monday morning around 9am on the E42 to Daussoulx, towards Liège. A woman in her fifties died, reported the firefighters and the Namur courthouse. The roadway was closed Rhisnes. This was a chain collision, said the prosecutor. The truck was carrying wood and spilled its load on the highway, which was then closed at Rhisnes.
The circumstances of the accident remain unclear and responsibility has not yet been established. An expert was dispatched to the scene.
Lines formed shortly after 9 am following the accident. A detour is recommended via exit 12 West Namur , the N4, the N912 and then the E411 in Eghezée.
