Three Glock pistols, two bullet-proof vests and several tear-gas sprays were stolen in the early hours of Saturday morning from the central police station at Midi (Anderlecht, Saint-Gilles, Forest), the zone spokesman said on Monday, which confirmed information that appeared in the tabloid La Dernière Heure. A judicial inquiry was opened as well as an internal inquiry. No suspect has been identified. The theft took place in the early hours of Saturday morning at the central police station at Midi police zone situated in the rue Démosthène in Anderlecht. Three Glock pistols, two bullet-proof vests and several tear-gas sprays were stolen from the locker room on the second floor of the establishment, which is occupied by the anti-criminality brigade (BAC). No sign of forced entry was found at the station.
The Brussels Prosecution Service has not yet commented.
