International Yoga Day will be celebrated in Brussels on the 21st of June, with a large event in the Cambre woods and another at the European Parliament. This was announced by the Indian TV channel ndtv, on their internet site. In September last year, the Indian Prime Minister Narende Modi launched an appeal within the UN to create an International Yoga Day. 177 countries supported his proposition, and the 21st of June was named International Yoga Day.
A yoga event will be organised at the European Parliament. Another event is planned in the Cambre woods, which numerous yoga fans, as well as people who are just curious, are expected to attend.
Yoga is an Indian discipline that mixes meditation, asceticism, and physical exercise. It aims to harmonise body and spirit.
