Former Red Devil Marouane Fellaini (35) and one of his brothers got into a brawl at a restaurant in Brussels on Friday night, according to the police.
Fellaini is currently playing for Shandong Taishan in the Chinese Super League, where the football season is coming to an end. The Fellaini brothers had a night out at Lily's Restaurant & Club, located just off Avenue Louise. Around 00:45 on the night of Friday to Saturday, the police were called.
"We received a call for a case of assault and battery in Avenue Emile De Mot. As soon as the police arrived at the scene, the parties were separated," Ilse Van de Keere of the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone told local media. Four people, including the Fellaini brothers, were involved and all four stated that they had been hit.
"An official report has been drawn up and the investigation is ongoing. This will involve reviewing the available CCTV footage so that it becomes clear what exactly happened," she said.
